Our primary narrator Ella lives in Northampton with her husband David, her daughter Jeannette and her two twins Orly and Avi. She is a housewife who lives a very disciplined life that is built around her husband and children. Her daughter wants to get married for love, which is a very uncomfortable idea for Ella. Little does she know that her idea of love is about to change. After twenty years of marriage, she gets a job as a reader for a literary agent. The first assignment she gets is to read a novel "Sweet Blasphemy" by a European author A.Z. Zahara. While reading this novel witten about Rumi and Shams of Tabriz, she starts exchanging emails with Zahara. Zahara changes her concepts of love and life like nobody did and then the most unexpected happens. A true treat for lovers of Rumi or anyone who wants to take a spiritual path to love.
